Run Time:  114 minutes

Age Recommendations:  All ages

Main Characters:  Jason, Emily, Mom, Mr. Hamilton

Plot:  A rich man dies and all his family care about is how much they get from his estate.  All are left to carry on the way they are with the Board of Trustees handling the inheritance, except for one grandson, Jason.  He was left with the Ultimate Gift.

Theme:  Because of his grandfather’s ultimate gift, Jason goes from being a selfish rich boy who only cares about money, to a caring unselfish loving human being.

Good Points:

  • Keeps your interest.
  • It will make you cry a feel good cry.
  • Rather than telling all the things at the beginning, your understanding becomes greater as the movie unfolds.
  • The music and scenery moves the movie along and brings your heart into the movie.
  • The actors are well chosen.

Downfalls:

  • No downfalls.  It was one of those movies that just made you feel good and glad that you saw it.

Buy/Rent/Skip:  Buy:  after watching this movie the “Ultimate Gift” would be different for each person but for me it seemed to be the gift of life.  A good life spent doing good things.  Buy it and discover what your “Ultimate Gift” would be.

Red’s arrogant grandson Jason (Drew Fuller) holds a deep-seated hatred for his newly-deceased grandfather, so he’

This rose is one of my favorite ways to recycle, and I think the results are just beautiful.

Mitt Romney Helps Locate A Missing Girl

Check out this new article by KSL.com – You can click on the link or read below for additional information about Mitt Romney, and what he is really like.

SALT LAKE CITY — Mitt Romney’s supporters are using a touching, true story from the past as ammunition against critics who portray him as elitist and uncaring of average people.

A commercial posted on YouTube references the true story about Romney shutting down his company, Bain Capital, in 1996 and flying his employees to New York to find a kidnapped teenage girl.

In addition to the YouTube video, an email being circulated anew reads in part, “In July 1996, the 14-year-old daughter of Robert Gay, a partner at Bain Capital, had disappeared. She had attended a rave party in New York City and gotten high on ecstasy.

“Three days later, her distraught father had no idea where she was. Romney took immediate action. He closed down the entire firm and asked all 30 partners and employees to fly to New York to help find Gay’s daughter.”

The email says Romney coordinated with police, set up a command center and hotline, hired a private detective and asked all of Bain’s business associates in New York to help find his friend’s missing daughter.

A teen who saw media coverage of the search called, and police traced the call to a home in New Jersey where “they found the girl in the basement, shivering and experiencing withdrawal symptoms from a massive ecstasy dose.”

Romney’s former partner credits Romney with saving his daughter’s life.

The YouTube video was introduced during earlier Romney campaigns in 2002 and 2007, but it’s gaining viral status again as people are posting it in email and social media sites.
