Things You’ll Need:
- Tent
- Pillows
- Sleeping Bags
- Hot dogs, Chips and Soda
- Paper Plates, Cups
- Snack foods like S'mores, hot chocolate and marshmallows
- Flashlights
- Imagination
Step1
First, set up the tent. Do this is the day time, because at night you could hurt yourself. Then, spread the pillows, blankets and sleeping bags inside the tent.
Step2
When it is dinner time, fire up the grill! It may not be quite the same as camping on an open flame, but it is close! Serve with chips, soda, and water. Put all food on paper plates and cups. This gives you a feeling of being in the wilderness. None of your grandmother's china please!
Step3
After dark, pull out the flashlights! Let the kids run around in the dark chasing fireflies and playing hide and seek. Since it is your yard, you won't have to worry about bears, raccoon and any other critters lurking around except for Fido, the family dog.
Step4
Last, just enjoy being together. This is a great time for families to bond. No TV, no iPods; just quality togetherness. Enjoy it. Make S'mores and hot cocoa. Take lots of pictures and just have fun!
