Miley Cyrus Kids Corner

In many ways, Miley Cyrus (star of Disney Channel’s Hit TV show Hannah Montana) is probably a lot like you. She is scared of spiders, is very ticklish, and has a bad habit of biting her fingernails. She loves to listen to music and text-message her friends. Miley has a hard time keeping a secret, and she gets super nervous before performing. She goes to church with her family on Sundays and has the responsibility for doing the dinner dishes.

See…you may be more like her than you thought.

Here are some of our favorite quotes from Miley, showing that she is a positive example in many ways:

I want to be a role model, letting girls know that they can follow their dreams.

My dad and I talk all the time about the important stuff in my life. He and my mom know how much I appreciate them and our relationship is good because we spend time together. I am happy to help other kids feel the same way.

Faith is the main thing. That’s kind of why I’m here in Hollywood: to be like a light, a testimony to say God can take someone from Nashville and make me this, but it’s His will that made this happen.

If you believe in yourself, anything can happen.

Free Style asks the nonmusical question: Who needs Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, anyway? This is a starring vehicle for the other High School Musical dude, Corbin Bleu, who brings his likable-guy personality to a tale of small-town life and motocross racing. Bleu plays Cale Bryant, a fatherless teen in a drizzly Northwestern burg, a town so rich in motocross talent that three of the top contenders for an open spot on the national racing team just happen to be living there.
